Shower Shelves
There many different kinds of shower shelves on the market that will help a person to better organize their shower. The shelves are available in many different sizes, shapes, finishes, and styles, and they can be attached to your shower in many different ways. Some require drilling holes for installation, while others can quickly be installed without any holes or mess.
Corner Shower Shelves
Most times, shower shelves are installed in one of the corners of the shower. Installing bathroom shelves in a corner is great because all of the items will be out of the way so you don't bump the shelves when showering. As far as installation goes, most shelves need to be screwed into the wall, but you can find ones that make use of suction cups to attach themselves to your shower unit or tile.
There are many different options available when shopping for corner shower shelves. You can find multi-tiered corner shelves that will usually have 3-5 shelves, and are usually made from glass, plastic or metal. They can be found any many different finishes, but the most popular ones are usually chrome, white or bronze.
Shower Head Shelves
Another great option for shower shelves is to buy a shelf unit that hangs from your shower head. This is usually is not the best option as water from your shower head will always be falling on your bath items, but it is a viable option, nonetheless. These units come in a variety of designs and finishes, so finding one that matches your decor and that gives you the storage space you need should be easy.
Recessed Shelves
For a custom designed look, you can install recessed shower shelves. To do this, you have to make a hole in the wall, and then either create your own shelves or install pre-formed recessed shelves. I would say that if you want to pursue this option and are simply remodeling, choose the pre-formed method. If you are designing a shower from scratch and using tile, then it is a great choice to create your own recessed shelves with the use of tile and/or natural stone. With this option, a great design idea is to wrap the recessed area with tile, and use a few small pieces of granite (maybe the same as your countertop) as the actual shelves. This will really add to the overall design of your shower.
No matter which option you choose, the fact is that there are many different options available when shopping for shower shelves. I'm sure you can find one that fits your exact storage and design needs.
